Day 8 of #31AuthorsofHalloween – Charlaine Harris

Now, I know you should know who this author is. If not, here is a clue: True Blood. Ring any bells yet?

There is the great debate, that I always see online: Book or TV series? Honestly? I love both. They both have a different feel, and of course, books will always be number one to me. The show is a close second (I don’t have time to watch TV, usually when I go to bed, and 15 mins later I am passed out lol). But, when I do have time, I love watching the show. Raise your hand(s) if your favorite character is Lafayette!!! He will always be my favorite character. And I love him as a person. Gone to soon.

Eric will be number two. Tall, sexy, funny, mysterious, and creepy. But he will always have your back.

I think the Sookie Stackhouse series was wonderfully written. It brings you to a whole new dimension in reality. You have everyday characters (the caring, the tough guys, the snarky, the list goes on. And throw in the mythical creatures (who was excited when they found out that Sookie was Fae?).

Anywho, I hope you love her books (and yes, the show, even though it was different), and if you have not picked them up, please do. If you have not watched the show, please do.

March 2018 Book Haul

March has been a crazy month in books, to say the least. Hubby found a used bookstore in Sacramento called Dimples, my daughter had a book fair at her school, and of course, random book findings.

My pile of TBR books is growing at a rather fast rate. And I am not complaining lol. The more books, the better, and if I am having a really good amount of time to knock a bunch of books, I am not having to worry about what to read next.

Now, onto the fun 🙂

Castle’s Richard Castle’s Deadly Storm Graphic Novel

Kim Harrison’s Black Magic Sanction

Vera Brosgol’s Anya’s Ghost

J.R. Ward’s Rapture

Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple: The Complete Short Stories

Charlaine Harris’s Dead as a Doornail

Cate Tiernan’s Sweep: Book of Shadows, Book 1

Robyn Carr’s The Life She Wants

Lois Ruby’s The Secret Grave

Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time

Mary Casanova’s American Girl: Grace

Stephen King’s The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger

Linda Gerber’s Death by Latte

Richard Castle’s Heat Wave

Winston Groom’s Gump & Co.

And, that is it 🙂

Happy Monday everyone!!!
