Synopsis for I Call Him HIM

In the near future, we face our worst nightmare.  A nuclear war has devastated the planet, destroying most of humanity.  Hiding deep underground, an unnamed warrior and his family survive the apocalypse.  After many years, they return to the surface to restart their lives.  However, they discover that an evil presence now controls what is left of humankind, and this presence brutally murders the warrior’s wife and daughter. With the death of his family, the warrior loses his mind, plunging him on a destructive path of darkness.  Five years pass as he continues his insatiable thirst for revenge.  Then one day, everything changes when he meets a young girl of unyielding faith.  The girl reminds him of his daughter and the life he shut away struggles to resurface.  As armies rise, the warrior is desperately needed in the final battle of good versus evil, but only if the girl can help him regain his sanity in time.

Review of I Call Him HIM

I am still fairly new to the apocalypse genre in books, and this one did not disappoint me.  It was dark, it was brutal, it was . . . AMAZING! HIM being dark and mysterious, and all it takes is a girl to get him to talk.  I admit, I fell in love with him.  I do have my faves.  And I have to add HIM to my list of characters that intrigue me.  Scott did amazing at this story, and I hope he writes more books!

About Scott Kimak

“My name is Scott Kimak and I’m from Harlingen Texas.

The idea for “I call him – HIM” came to me nearly forty years ago when I was only thirteen years old.  At that time I tried to write the first page and failed miserably.  Flash forward to the summer of 2018.  I decided to give it a second shot and the words flowed unrestrained.”
